Ellen and Bill Black have been working with Border Collie Dogs for more than ten
years and in Up, Up & Away,
LLC to move nuisance Canada Geese
off properties since 2003.
Geese perceive the dogs as predators so they fly to the safety of water. Ellen
trains her dogs to pursue them right into the water, swimming after the geese until
they have lifted off and left the area.

It takes many repeat visits to persuade the geese to remain elsewhere as we are
changing a wild animal's natural behavior.

The Humane Society of America and PETA support the use of Border Collie dogs as
a Humane Solution to Goose Control as the dogs do not catch or harm the geese.

Up, Up & Away LLC is fully Insured. Ellen and Bill are Licensed by the State of
Connecticut as Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators specializing in Canada Goose
Control. They are members of the CT Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators
Association.

Ellen has written many articles for the Wildlife Control Operators Journal, a
nationally distributed trade publication, for Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators.
Her articles and humorous pieces focus on goose control and working border collie
dogs.
