Canada Geese have become all too prevalent at our Parks, Playing Fields and Lawns over the past 10 years, increasing at a rate of 14% per year.
During Spring nesting season geese can be aggressive towards people and their pets as they are protecting their nesting territory.
Geese will consume 2lbs of grass and turf a day, leaving behind the same amount. Goose droppings are high in phosphorous which do not break down and is not a useful organic substance, decreasing the health of the water they fowl. The first step in Goose Control is to stop feeding the Geese and post signs, "Do Not Feed Waterfowl" signs.
